God
To be an honorable steward of heritage legacy, generational responsibility, and a newfound ministry of family land, buildings and resources of Solemn Vow Farm. More importantly, to offer a place of respite by providing relief and suffering in a weary world through sharing the love of God, revealed through the Holy Spirit, and from the teachings of Jesus Christ and His transformational words in the Holy Bible.
Who We Are
We are followers of Jesus, the current living generation of the Great Commission, laboring in the fields, cultivating the harvest of the gospel message for the next generation, and the generation not yet born. In everything we do at Solemn Vow Ministry, the goal is to strengthen families by providing a historic place of rural rest. From the lens of fertile land and beauty in Creation, we provide an environment that nourishes deep and meaningful relationships. Generations are impacted when fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters live with biblical hope. Hope has a name and His name is Jesus.
Our venue and our events are wrapped in Genesis 18:19 and Psalm 78: 1-7
Genesis 18:19: For I have chosen him, in order that he may command his children
and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just.
Psalm 78:1-7: My people will hear my teaching; listen to the words of my mouth. I
will utter hidden things, things of old – things we have heard and known, things
our ancestors have told us. We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done. He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and in turn they would tell their children. They would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands.
What We Provide
In harmony with the Maker of nature, Solemn Vow is a place of refuge. The grounds and facilities provide a historic sacred place, set apart, for the sole purpose of communing with the Savior. We provide retreat space for renewal, along with custom programs and events for restoration. Our gates are open, and our harvest is ready.
What We Want for Our Guests
An Encounter with the Living God. Period. And then, transformation through growing closer with Christ just because you have said yes to a Selah, a biblical word that is the derivative of the Hebrew meaning a dramatic pause or change in tempo. We want our guests to come with the heart of a pilgrim, journeying through fertile land and being refreshed in Creation. This is accomplished by offering outdoor opportunities, indoor havens, intentional moments of Christian
worship and gospel messages. We wish to create an environment where every “pilgrim” will experience the undeniable love of God, the gift of immeasurable grace, the blessings of never ending mercy, the revelation of discipleship, and the profound joy of the Great Commission.
